Steve Dormann - President / Owner
Steve has been in the building trade his whole life. He learned the art of carpentry from his father while building homes from 1973-1979. After graduating with honors from Johnson Technical Institute with an A.S.T. degree, Steve went into the remodeling business with his father, founding S&D Renovations in 1989. Steve has recently been enhancing his 26 years of experience in the trade by attending peer group forums. By working with other industry professionals from around the country, Steve aims to constantly improve his business skills in order to continue offering the best and most complete remodeling services in the Lehigh Valley. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
Lori Dormann - Office Manager
Married to Steve in 1988, Lori has served as an integral part of S&D Renovations since its start up in 1989. After graduating from Salisbury High School and attending Cedar Crest College, Lori worked in office management for three years prior to joining the team of S&D Renovations. Lori was able to enjoy time as a "stay at home" mom after the birth of their first child in 1991, but is now back in the office managing critical details of the business from mostly behind the scenes. Outside the office, Lori enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
David Fairchild - Production Manager
Dave began his building career over twenty-two years ago, learning the ins and outs of the trade from his brothers. S&D Renovations has been fortunate to have Dave on our team since 1996 when he became one of our carpenters. He quickly advanced to lead carpenter and, in 2006, became our production manager. Dave ably coordinates the production schedule and keeps in close contact with the homeowners to keep them abreast of their job's progress. Dave's hobbies include traveling, hunting and woodworking. He has two children and is engaged to be married.
Patrick Leonard- Estimator and Selection Cooridinator
With S&D Renovations since 2007, Patrick is a proven leader with progressive management experience in marketing / general management, business development and logistical planning. He served as a stateside Logistics Specialist in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Patrick is an appointed official on the Upper Saucon Township Planning Commission and Environmental Advisory Council, dealing with protection, conservation, management, promotion, and use of open space, recreation, historic, and natural resources located within Upper Saucon Township. At S&D, Patrick uses his solid management experience serving as our estimator and assisting with selections and production. A native to the Lehigh Valley, Patrick lives in Upper Saucon Township with his wife and 2 children.
Tori Duff - Marketing Director
Originally an enthusiastic satisfied S&D Renovations client, Tori joined our S&D Renovations team in 2007 to assist in creative design and general marketing. Tori graduated from Williams College in Massachusetts with a B.A. degree in psychology and studio art / design. After serving as vice president of marketing for an international sales and marketing firm specializing in travel, Tori spent time working as a marketing consultant while also serving as a "stay at home" mom to her four children. When not trying to spread the word about the advantages of remodeling with S&D Renovations, Tori spends most of her time cheering on her children at their multiple sporting events.
Andrew B. Bereznak, Sr. - Lead carpenter
Andy entered the carpentry trade in 1990. After attending Votech for carpentry in high school, Andy earned an Associates degree in carpentry from Penn Tech. He started with S&D Renovations in 2003 and quickly advanced from carpenter to lead carpenter. Andy is married and has two children.
Michael S. Bedell - Lead carpenter
Mike has been in the carpentry trade since 1981, gaining valuable field training in five different states. He joined the S&D team as a carpenter in 2006 and has since advanced to lead carpenter. Mike is married and enjoys woodworking and playing guitar.
David E. Alberswerth - Lead carpenter
Dave's experience in carpentry dates back to when he was twelve years old, working over the summers. He began his full time career in carpentry in 1982 and has gained invaluable field experience over the years. In order to enhance his training in the field, Dave has taken courses in production management, estimating and scheduling. New to S&D Renovations in 2008, Dave has quickly become a great contributor to our team. He is married with four children and enjoys ice hockey, a sport he has played all over the world.
Richard A. Melhem - Lead Carpenter
Rick comes to S&D Renovations with over twenty-eight years of experience in the carpentry trade. Originally trained in electronics in college, Rick spent eight years in the Marine Corps where he worked in avionics. In 1980, he began developing his carpentry skills under the supervision and guidance of his father in law. Rick joined the S&D team in 2008. He is married with three children and enjoys coaching basketball.
Melvin F. Hinkel - Carpenter
Mel began his career in carpentry in 1984 when he began on the job training. In high school, he attended Votech for electrical training. He was hired by S&D Renovations in 2005. Mel is an avid hunter.
Kirk M. Pierson, Jr. - Carpenter
Trained in the field by his father, Kirk has been a carpenter all his life. After serving in the army from 1999 to 2004, he took up carpentry as his full time career. He has been with S&D since 2006. Kirk's favorite hobby is weightlifting.
Robert R. Kuhns - Carpenter
Bob entered the carpentry trade in 1980 after spending four years in the army. He joined the S&D Renovations team of carpenters in 2006. Bob's hobbies include stained glass work and playing guitar. He has one daughter.
